I just finished a really good novel by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, called The Brothers Karamazov. It has more insights than any of his other books that I've read, and by far was one of the more "deep" novels I have ever read.
"Lamentations comfort only by lacerating the heart still more. Such grief does not desire consolation. It feeds on the sense of its hopelessness. Lamentations spring only from the constant craving to re-open the wound"
As for the next MC trip, everyone has signed up. I sadly enough had to turn away students because there was not enough space.... Attatched is the flyer that I gave to everyone, and it actually worked in getting many of the girl students to sign up!

How could you? I am thoroughly ashamed of your misquote of the authors name... Its Fyodor Dostoevsky! Anyways, I recently finished this book as well and I had no idea you were into russian literature... Check out Crime & Punishment (personally, my favorite and also quoted on some of my websites). Also, notes from the underground is a solid book as well as the idiot.
If you like Tolstoy and Dostoevsky, check out Alexander Solzhenitsyn "The Gulag Archipelego" as well as a shorter read... The death of Ivan Devinisovich (sp?). Also, Pushkin is great on the poetry side of things. The wealth that spawns from Russia is too great.

and i think his last name is spelled a few different ways. The copy i have is spelled Dostoyevsky, and if you look on the internet it is spelled both ways.
Dostoyevsky/Dostoevsky I can understand the mistake here BUT you originally said his name was: Karamazov

As far as his name is concerned, I do believe that the correct english spelling is Dostoevsky. Those references to Dostoyevsky online seem to be misprints. Also, visited Dostoevsky's apartment/college/island jail in St. Petersburg while there 2 years ago. Have photos if you like....
